Headlight replacement

Hey everyone, brand new member here.

I rebuilt my 98 4Runner Sr5 after an accident last year. I needed new headlights and got the ebay blacked out set which as I'm now learning are garbage. I need get something better because my commute is 30kms one way on highways in the country. I'm planning to do an HID conversion as well in the future but need new headlights now.

I've looked around online and Id love to find a set out of a 99+ Runner but those seem impossible to find. Has anyone tried this set?
Car Part Wholesale - Auto Parts and Accessories Catalog - Anzo Driver And Passenger Side Headlight - Crystal lens, Plastic lens, Multi-reflector, DOT, SAE approved, composite, direct fit, with bulbs

I need new corner lights and headlights so this complete kit appeals to me but if it's going to give me the same scattered light output i'm not interested in spending the money. Any help that anyone can provide would be awesome! Thanks

yeah those will most likely be a scattered light pattern too but...
what i would recommend since HID's are in the picture for you, use your lights that you have and do a projector retrofit. I want to do this soon myself cause i have HID's but no projectors :( just throwing out an option

And what exactly is a projector retrofit? What would this entail and do you have a link to what I would have to do? Thanks.

I have a similar problem with my headlights and was looking into the HID retrofit...

I'm curious if anyone knows if you can purchase the whole package as one as opposed to having to retrofit the headlights yourself? Kinda limited on my tools right now.. Any ideas?

I bought that ANZO set for my self to do an HID upgrade. Got them in the mail and - broken plastic clips floating around in the box. Found out they were the adjustment retainer clips and the housing were shot. I sent them back to the retailer, tracked down an OEM light, and I learned a lesson.
THe overall quality of the ANZO light was not as good as OEM. Its your money, but I am glad I went OEM.
I can contact the wrecking yard I got my headlight at to see what they have for headlights and corner light if you want.
Also, if the glass is broken and the housings are good, buy a cheapo set of lights for $40 each off ebay and just change out the glass.
