Headlights suggestions

Does anyone have suggestions on where to get headlights?

My headlights are looking pretty dull on the inside. I tried ordering cheap headlight assemblies from autolightbulbs.com ($70 total) and the thing arrived in pieces. I checked out the assembly and it's no wonder the thing fell apart during shipping, it's glued together!

The OEM headlights are $380 and I find some stuff at $200, but after this past online ordering fiasco, I'd rather get it local or with heavy recommendations. I thought about baking the lamp and removing the lens cover to clean it, but I'd hate to break it and not have running lights.

The first thing I replaced on my Runner when I got it were the headlights -I got the 99+lights - one light had its housing pushed in/busted a little so I went to Certifit.com which were the cheapest I found online that looked good. Luckily one of theyre warehouses are located near me and I went in person to check them out, all glass built nice for $37 each, not bad at all and they have held up all this time, I drive a lot on highways and a good deal on the beach surf fishing(I live 2 blocks from the ocean and no moisture has gotten into the assembly/lenses)

You could pay a lot more at the stealership and I'm sure they are awesome but I put my money elsewhere. You can check out my album, they are one of the few pics I took of the truck so far.

For $37, we might have ordered the same thing. The adjustment screw stopper was glued on. Is yours like that as well?

I ordered a set of after-market non-Toyota headlights from EBAY. They came with glass front lens and looked amazing. I wanted the clear lens look of the 99-01s.

If you do this you really will want to only swap the glass out but keep the original housings. It is really really easy. just bake to 200 F and then pry apart with something, don't break the glass.

i made the mistake of tossing out the old assemblies entirely. now my beam pattern is totally F-d.
