Headlights Type A - all manual selections>

Just took delivery of slightly used TRD ORP and shocked to learn it has manual headlights, type A in the manual. There is OFF, Side-marker, DRL, and ON.

All my other vehicles have had auto headlights. So I need to start, move the selector to DRL for daytime, then to ON for night, then remember to turn OFF?

I am unsure if I need DRLs by law, not sure I can remember to put them on every time I drive the truck.

Do I understand this system right, anyone know a DRL mod so they are on when driving during day automatically?

Most people including myself just use DRL as off. The DRLs turn off automatically when the engine is shut off. I like being more visible to others but you csn choose to turn them off.

I keep my lights off. If the weather is inclement then I use either the DLRs or turn on all the lights. DLRs are not required in my state.
