Anyone tried to separate the lens from the Headlight housing on a 2008 runner? My left Headlight has a lot of moisture, (read, like someone sprayed the inside of the housing with a garden hose) There are clips that appear to hold the lens to the housing, but before I start prying on things, I'd like to hear if anyone else has tried to reseal their lights. If not, I'll have to bite the bullet and buy another pair on EBay and try the fix on my old pair.

you have to take off the whole housing off the truck.
preheat the oven at 260.
once the oven is done, u put the whole headlight in for 10 mins, then after 10, u take it out and start lossening the screws that are holding the headlight lens, then seperate the lens and housing.

Damn, no, not 260. 210-220 for 10 minutes. 260 you'll melt the flimsy things. Once they're heated and the butyl is melted and weak, grab a flat head and start gutting out the sealant while pulling apart all down the houseing line and begin to separate em. Wash both pieces real well with whatever cleaner you have on hand, and take a very light grit sandpaper and wet sand the outside of the headlight lense *in 1 direction* (left to right) as that's what has the oxidation on it. It should look blurry when it's done, clean with alcohol and clear coat to fill in the small scratches and put them back together and you're good to go. Tutorials on YouTube
