My headlights are kinda weak sauce, I need to fix that.
What would you guys recommend, hid or just bulbs? I'm wondering if it's worth doing a conversion kit or just swap out my stock bulbs for better ones.

Your better off just getting brighter bulbs. If your doing a swap and I'm assuming your talking about HIDs, though they are nice, they are an annoyance with oncoming traffic and kits are expensive. There are some people out there who have no consideration for others when they get bulbs with output so bright that they blind you at night. I hear good things about the sylvania bulbs, but i have piaa bulbs in my truck. its a nice improvement over stock bulbs.

not to mention that HID kits are in fact, illegal.

get PIAA or Sylvania. Sylvania is easy to find and PIAA is online.

bulb size is 9003

Get the Sylvania bulbs and drive around with your Hi-beams on, that's what I do and I've never been flashed.

I think upgrading the harness is a good idea. I replaced my stock headlights with Silverstar Ultras and I can't really tell a huge difference. I think that having a higher wattage would allow you to have a brighter light.

If you want to go the HID route I would not do a direct replacement. I would try to swap in the projector from a car that came with HID's. Any way you go with HIDs will still be illegal, but if you do the swap it won't be quite as noticable.

The harness I went with was this one:

It was well worth the $20 and I noticed the difference immediately.

The bulb I went with was the Osram 70/65w H4 bulb form here:

http://www.candlepower.com/

It was a simple plug and play and I noticed a huge difference in light output.

I may upgrade to HIDs the real way with the whole projector setup later down the road. For now, the setup that I have works great.
