Usually when something seems too good to be true, it is. In this case however, it seems to have worked out! I have (4) 275/65/18 DuraTracs sitting in my garage for a total of $888 out of my pocket. I submitted my rebate for a $60 prepaid Visa, so assuming that goes through I'm at $828. I have a local shop that charges $25/tire to mount/balance/install, bringing my total to $928 installed. I've been flirting with these tires for a year and this is the best deal I've seen by at least $100.

Does anyone in the Long Island area need just 1 as well? And wants to split an order of 2 tires @ $158 each??
I'd love to get this deal instead of paying $200+

I am really glad I saw this thread today. I was about to pull the trigger on ordering a set of tires for my wife's G35. I ended up saving $100 by seeing this thread since the tires I was wanting were included in the sale. Plus they have a $60 rebate from Cooper right now as well. I will end up having $324 in a set of 225/55/17 80,000 Mile Cooper Grand Touring tires.
If you can wait until Cooper does a rebate, you can get another $60 rebate from the manufacturer. DTT seems to be running this promo several times a year now.
The eBay store deal is until May 5, and I wasn't confident that a rebate would be show up in the next week. I missed the eBay store deal last month, when the rebate *was* available, and I wanted to be sure I wouldn't miss this one.
$640 for a set of 285/70-17 Cooper Discoverer ATP shipped to my door ain't bad. Another $60 off would have been nice of course.

Yup, I just came to the forum to see what I could find out about ordering tires from their eBay store vs in-store, and I've learned a lot so far!
Because of the ability to do two separate transactions and get $200 off, plus free shipping and no tax, even with the install fees and all of that at Discount, I'm looking at $782 out-the-door for four 265/75r16 Duratrac C's. Compared to anywhere from $900-930 locally.
I'm going to call the Discount that I got my Yoko's from and see if they can match this. If no, I'll just order them online. If yes, score.

Just gave a call to my closest Discount that I went to when I got my Yoko Geo's 4 years ago, and he gave me the pretty typical salesperson runaround/truth stretching which just indicated to me he just didn't want the sale.
I called the one closest to my work in Boulder and the guy was super friendly and didn't even bat an eye. Getting my 265/75r16 Duratrac C's installed on Monday for a whopping $812 out-the-door. That's about $150 better than they would have been otherwise. I could have pushed a bit harder because I gave him the quote from direct without tax, and tax added about $60 ($782 was the quote from Direct after coupon), but I just liked how different and accommodating he was than the other guy so I decided against it.
Oh, and he also complemented the make and model of my Runner, so duh.

Edited to ask: is the extended warranty thing really worth it? I never got it for my Yoko's and was fine, but those were LR E and these are C. I don't wheel crazy hard, but I do live in the "rockies".
Also, is there anything special I should expect when I ask them to mount one of my old tires as my spare? It still has good tread on it, and I don't have a functional spare.

So I ordered my tires off of the Ebay store yesterday and they were delivered to my house today! I'm guessing they somehow got sent from the local store (where I'm going to take them to get them installed anyways) but either way...holy crap that was fast!
