Heat Treating OEM CVs Shafts!

Has anyone thought of heat treating stock CV shafts? Might ad a bit of strength to the stockers.

I'm going to do manual hub conversion and come to my mind!

What do you guys think about that?

Typicaly the outer CV cage is the weak point (on OE axles).

I have heard that where the axle thins down for the manual hubs is the next failure point.

They are already heat treated.

You could try cryo-treating them, but you need to have the boots off for that process. I've had some brake rotors done in the past, and it was well worth the cost. Pretty hard to test the benefit though, as CV's don't break with any regularity, just when abused.

The stock shafts are way stronger than the cage. You could make it out of chromoly heat treat it, cryo treat it and gold plate them and the outer cage would still break when all the rest do,

And they do break with regularity for me
