Heater control under passenger seat

My dudes!!


I’m pretty sure there are write ups on how to disassemble the heater control under the passenger seat... but I can’t find them...


Can anyone help me with a link to how to clean the fan here &/or a write up that guides you through this process????

Look for screws and clips and start taking it apart. It should become obvious what holds it together.

That's my standard approach to things I haven't done before.

Its a huge pain to take apart if you don't want to drain at least some of your coolant. If you are willing to drain the coolant (I'd loop it up in the engine bay first) it should be pretty easy to take out and apart.

If you just want to clean, you can pull off the top cover without disrupting the heater core.

If you have the painted steel lines under the car, I'd consider changing them to the later model stainless (alu?) lines.
