Hello
Today the temps were around 50 degrees so I noticed that the truck was warmed up and I was not getting any heat. I bumped up the temp to Max nothing but cold air coming out. Finally I decided to shut off the rear defrost and the heat kick on.20 minutes later it stop to work again , what do you think the issue may be?
thx

When was the last time you used the heat? Has it been since last winter?

I basically had the same problem on my 98 - I changed out the thermostat and had the heater core blown out - for now seems to solve that issue

Add to the mix the car gets it heat half way to work about 10 miles into the drive. The air recycle button is always on and I can not shut if off and the truck was overheating.

No codes being thrown? I would bring it to a mechanic to have him check it out...

You could have an issue with your radiator/coolant circulation. But have a mechanic check it out and let you know whats wrong.

Dealer replaced the radiator problem solved.. expensive! But they did not replace the hose and one of them is rip bad another trip to the dealer...!!!!!!:bash::bash:

what you described is usually caused from the coolant level being low.
perhaps from a bad/leaking radiator, so indeed that may have fixed it.
