Hey,

I am brand new to this forum. I just bought a 1992 4 runner and there is just one problem so far...that I need to fix. The front heater does not blow out hot air it is freezing and being in Tahoe doesn't help! The funny thing is the rear heater blows out strong hot air. Any suggestions?

Hey,

I am new to this forum, just coming from the BMW 2002 FAQ. I used to have an 02 but moved to Tahoe and got a 1992 Toy 4 runner. I have one problem so far. My front heater does not work and only the pass. rear heater puts out hot air. I am completely foreign to these trucks but I have knowledge about cars in general. Let me know if you guys have an kind of information for me.

Thanks,
Chris

Move the Temp knob between Hot and Cold a few times while observing the heater valve on the firewall. It could be stuck in cold position.

You could also have an air pocket somewhere in the front heaters coolant lines, preventing coolant from circulating thru the core.
