Hey guys! I have a 1992 4runner and My heater just stopped working all the sudden, I changed the Resistor and still nothing. Eventually over time I feel heat come out, but it does not blow out or anything. HELP?
You could check your coolant level. Low coolant or air in the tubes can prevent hot coolant from getting to the heat exchanger. If your coolant is good, you're going to have to tear your dash out to get to the heater core and find out what's really wrong. But if it gets vaguely warm, it's probably low coolant or an air bubble or a clog somewhere.
You haven't used a bottle of head gasket repair recently have you?
Yeah, the blower can go out. If you're sure the switch is good, check the fuse. If the fuse is good, you're back to needing to tear apart the dash.![]()
The blower motor can be accessed by removing your glove box. There is one connector on it and I believe 3 small screws holding it in.
Typically if you set the switch to high speed and tap on the motor, if it starts up that indicates a failing fan motor.
You can check for power and ground at the blower motor connector too to verify the integrity of the wiring.
