Glad I looked here before I crawled under my 4Runner today. I heard a "tinny" from under the back end for the last 2 days and hoped it was nothing $$$. I thought muffler baffles but checked here first and I saw people have been having heatshield problems. Crawled under today (32 degrees out in the ole driveway too) and there was the heatshield...just sitting there on top of the muffler. All 4 bolt holes were broken through and nothing was holding that big piece of tin in place! Got the nuts off and put fender washers underneath and got them all back on in record time. It's COLD out there today!!
