Hello and (of course) a few questions

Hey everyone, been lurking here for a long time, waiting until I found the right 4 Runner to get before I came on board. I just want to say the forum is awesome and all the information has really helped me to decide which model to get, right down to the year and options I need and want.

So I decided on a 99-00 Limited with the rear diff lock. I think I found a sweet one and will hopefully be picking it up this weekend. My few questions so far are pretty simple.

The one I found has no trailor hitch, actually its the only one I found without one. Is this a nightmare retro install? I am guessing not, but thought I would check.

Second is the interior. I couldnt seem to find whether a black leather interior is available, I have never seen one. I think I will have to spend the next few months taking every part out and dying it black...lol

Anyway, I work for BMW and was a tech for years so if anyone has a second ride and needs help on it feel free to let me know! Thanks!

The hitch itself should be bolt on. IDK about the wiring though.

No black leather.

Thanks, yeah, thats what I figured!

My plan is to learn and build over the next year to two years, then I am going on an all-country tour for hopefully a year or so. I want to visit a lot of old friends along the way and think the 4Runner is the best tool for the job. Should be cool and this forum has so many cool people with a lot of knowledge, hopefully make some more friends to visit!

As long as things work out and I can get it this weekend I will post pics then, thanks!

Man that looks great in black. I plan to replace the t-belt, radiator, install an external trans cooler, other basic maintenance, and then I think I am going to do the whole interior in colorbond black. Should be a great project while I abuse the crap outta my leased 335ix until next year....
