First post after lurking off and on for several years. Grew up in a die-hard GM family. I've owned and modified many GM cars and trucks over the years. Finally got fed-up with GMs quality and reliability issues and bought my first Toyota in 2008. Bought a 2006 4Runner Sport Edition 2WD, V6 - it's still my DD with a tick under 140k on the clock. I've been VERY happy with it. Only thing I would change is I wish I had opted for 4WD.
Flash forward to early 2016. My wife was driving a beautiful black Dodge Challenger R/T "Classic". It was her "mid-life crisis" car and when she said she wanted it, I wasn't about to talk her out of it. Unfortunately, she totaled the car earlier this year. Our first impulse was to go buy another Challenger, we even test drove a couple. After some thought, she decided her "mid-life crisis" was over and she was ready to get back into something more practical. Having had such a good experience with my '06 Runner, I immediately suggested we buy her a new 4runner. It took some convincing but she finally settled on a Magnetic Grey 2016 Runner Trail. She's really likes it except she keeps complaining that is too slow! I did install a small lift on the front and set of Method wheels with BFG A/T's on it for her birthday so I think she's happy now. :thumb3:
