Hi,
A little about me:
My name is Branden. I'm new to the forum and to the 4runner world But not new to Toyota. I've worked for a Toyota dealership for 6.5 years and now work at a Chevrolet dealership for the past 1.5 years. I've been looking over the forum for the last few months and because of this forum I was able to pick out the right 4runner with the least amount of problem for a good price before my purchase. So thank you for that.
What I purchased:
A couple months ago I picked up white (body) and silver (panel and fender flares) 96 4runner limited with rear locking diff from factory. It has 186k miles on it.
My Goal:
The goal is to turn it into a fun off roading machine while still being able to drive on normal roads.
What I've done so far:
Basic maintenance. Water pump, timing belt, pulleys, drive belts, coolant, transmission service, diff and transfer case fluids and resealed transfer case due to a leak.
Next Steps:
New rack and pinion boot kit, fuel filter, spark plugs and ignition wires, battery, Brake flush and power steering flush. That should complete the maintenance and oil leaks to start the project.
Project:
To be determined.
