Welcome! I had a 96' Tacoma prior to becoming a T4R owner. Both are great 'clubs' to be in.

Just came out of a 2011 TRD DC 4x4, loved the truck but the runner made more sense. Love it so far! 1st mods will be a set of weathertechs and some additional window tint with uv/heat block.

Welcome. There are a number of Lowcountry folks here. Although I don't live there anymore, it was fun back in the late 90s, early 2000s. Not many trails though, or at least those that can be utilized by the 4runner.

I picked it up at Hendrick Toyota of North Charleston. Good guys to deal with for the most part. I also bought the Tacoma there, but it was Gene Reed Toyota at that time.
You're right, no trails here of any length. Have to travel the mountains to get to any good stuff. I see some camping in the future now that i have the runner!

My uncle bought a Toyota Avalon from Gene Reed a couple of years ago; the slime that oozed from that dealership could be felt far down Rivers Ave. The RH guys all at least have a standard to adhere to.
It stinks that one cannot even drive on SC beaches. I guess too many idiots on them. Parts of NC here still allow for vehicles on the beach.

Wow Caesar, you and I have had total opposite experiences with these two dealerships, but you've already read my rant.
Gene Reed/Harrelson, was good to go in my book for the 2 years I went to them. After 2 trips to Rock Hill, I wouldn't trust those clowns to work on a skateboard.

Ah Superman3043, the man who can't stop praising the attributes of Toyota of RH. Ha! If you look on Ebay, you will see Toyota of RH posting many cars and trucks for sale; I guess since they cannot sell them in town, they might as well try Fleabay.
Concerning Gene, they would not allow me and my uncle to look at their work while they performed it (covered garage with roll down door). Then they managed to charged my uncle for 1.5 extra qts of oil that he did not need. Finally, as we pulled out onto Rivers, an awful sound was coming from the right wheel well. The idiots, for some real odd reason, had taken off the front tires to change the oil and the knuckle splash shield was rubbing against the pad. I have more horror stories, but only have so many breaks at work.

Most of the RH crew is a carry over from Gene Reed. Gene Reed was great for me and got me a hell of a deal on the Tacoma. My service advisor was great as well, he cleared TSB's for me with no issues.
When they changed to RH, I actually got pissed at the service department over a squeaky fan TSB. I also had them repalce the intermeidate shaft, but that took several trips before they would do it.
To go even further, I did buy the 4runner from RH and it went sort o smooth, lots of negotiating, however, I was also buying a Camry at the same time. RH pissed me off so bad during negotiations that I drove to **** Dyer for the Camry, which was less than impressive as well.
Moral of the story, all dealerships can either suck or excel, it all depends on who you are dealing with. There is some good staff at RH, and some good staff at GR, **** Dyer was questionable, but i feel I got a good deal on the Camry, not without extreme hassel though.

Are we using RH for both Rick Hendrick AND Rock Hill? Confused...
Anyway yeah, everyone has different experiences to base their opinions off of. Mine just happens to be a fairly positive one of the N. Chuck crew and a not so good one of the folks here in Rock Hill.
