I've been a long time Toyota guy, but all Tundra's. I finally decided that I was just using my truck as an SUV so why not just sell it and get a 4 runner. The big 2011 I had was way too big for any kind of fun off road and was frankly, a lot more vehicle than I needed. So, sold the Tundra, borrowed a friends clapped out old Subaru and started the hunt.
I've always liked the 4th gen t4r and loved the fact that they made them with the 4.7 V8, which has been my favorite toyota motor ever. I've been searching for over a month for a really good 4th gen 4WD with relatively low miles and a V8.
I had finally had success last week! A 2005 Sport 4WD V8 with only 57K on the clock! I drove for 1.5 hours in a freezing rain\snowstorm to get a shot at it. I knew it wouldn't stay for sale for more than a day. Locked it up for a very good price and I had 3 people try and buy it while I was signing the paperwork.
Overall, I couldn't be happier and I love this vehicle already. I'm looking forward to learning more about it on this forum.
