Hello members, I have a 2001 Toyota 4runner 3.4L SR5. I can't get my hood up!!!!! Tried some of the techniques posted but no luck. Anyone have any ideal what im in for getting this repaired??? Would appreciate any info.

Did you spray some penetrating oil on the latch? Sounds like its rusted shut or the cable snapped. When you pull the release does it have some Tension or does it have a lot of free play?
