Hello new 4R friends

Just signed up from the PNW. I have a 00 sr5 runner with 204k. Awesome rig. Just did timing belt, valve cover gaskets, and now on the brakes, fronts only. Has anyone seen where you have to pump the brakes like 40 times after theyre bled to set a sensor for the ABS????:

Also has anyone used a chip for hp and mpg imrovement?

Find speed bleeaders at autozone, it'll save you some time and aggregation

No chip/or flash that does anything as far as I know.

204k, just broken in. Got mine at 212k, wouldn't know it from a 50k vehicle. Thank god for no road salt.

+1 for speed bleeders. Makes bleeding trivial.

I think someone on here (or maybe it was on another forum) tried the JET chip and it did diddly-squat. Our ECUs seem to be impervious to any sort of modifications like that.

As a new member, I highly suggest you start up a build thread and then unnecessarily spend an enormous amount of money on your truck on modifications like the rest of us do. Its the way of the t4r.org member

My spending has unfortunately been necessary as of late:sad: but my 4runner has 190,000 miles. She is all I have to drive and paid for so I shouldn't complain. Still cheaper than a car payment.
