Geeez, apparently that sucker is chock full of issues. don't just walk away, but run from that one!!!
My used sales experience wasn't trouble free.
Here's what I went through last weekend with a Toyota stealership, drove 75 miles to see the one I have. Drove terrible, pulled to the left and had the womp womp womp sound coming from the cupped tires. So I said if they swapped the Bridgestone's on it for the Michelin's on the 4R next to it and let me drive it again to make sure if wasn't a front end issue I would still consider it.. so about an hour and a half later I take it for a spin with the Michelin's and it drives a lot better but still pulls a little.
I ask for an alignment check and if its out I will drive it again after its aligned, if it doesnt need adjustment I am leary it has balljoint or other issues. So it turns out the toe was out and I go for a final spin and I'm happy at last.
got there at 930am, signed the deal and drove away finally at 530pm.. what a long @ss day!!
Also after the deal was complete I asked where the floor mats were and they said oh if they aren't in there then they were threw away apparently, as we don't sell them with wore out mats, our recondition guys are told to pitch them..
Luckily I had been in another one on the lot with perfect factory all weather mats and I insisted those go in my 4R, So that was good. because I prefer them anyways!
Only had one key and fob.. another thing I found out at the last minute.. and those cheap skates wouldn't cut me another one, well for about $120 they would, but they are sending me a free fob that I will need to program and I went yesterday to a local locksmith and had a chipped master key cut for $85, and a slug key for just the doors for $2..
All in all I got a great deal on it, but wish I hard bargained on that key before I struck any deal with them.
Because if you lose the only master key to my model your looking at a tow to the dealer and a replacement of the immobilizer computer as well as the price of new keys..
They are more than accommodating and just about willing to be your new best friend until you sign for delivery of it, after that, its good luck sucker
Also after the tire shine wore off it turned out the tire's were extremely dry rotted, manufactured in 2005, and had only 3/32" of tread left, so I put a brand new set of Michelin LTX MS2's, to the tune of $1k, but that doesn't bother me as I like putting the tire of my preference on, and the ride and handling of a new set.
The new tires, keys, and front window tint I did yesterday bring me in a couple hundred under 16k total at this point.
