I've been reading these boards since I got my new truck six weeks ago and have found it extremely helpful. I hope I can contribute with my own experiences.
I just got a 2006 4WD Limited V8 and I enjoy every minute I drive it. I used an auto broker at my bank to find the color and option specs I felt were perfect. It's got navigation too.
This is actually not my first 4Runner. I had a 1990 SR5 4WD V6. That was a great vehicle. It didn't have it first mechanical problem until it reached 230,000 miles!! And even then I only had to have the alternator replaced. Compare that to my parents '78 station wagon that had it's transmission blow out after only 15,000 miles.
Anyway, I hope I can be a service to this community.
