Hey all, just joined your great forum and thought I would say hello. I am really hyped about the 06 4runners. I am really thrilled with the cosmetic changes Toyota made to the 06. I was never a fan of the the square fenders......this actually kept me from buying a 4rth gen. when it came time to trade in my much loved and trusted 96 4runner......Now I will be looking to trade in my 04 Titan on a 06 4runner limited V8 4WD......

The new 06 does look great, but I think you're in the minority regarding the fenders. That's one of the things that sets the 4R apart from the other boxy SUVs out there. With the rounded fenders, it looks like any other SUV. I always thought it was a nice cosmetic touch.

If Toyota was going to change the fenders on the 06, I think they should have gone with the Tacoma styling. The are much more sporty looking than the standard rounded ones they put on the 06.

Not sure I'm in the minority, I think there is a reason Toyota has changed the fenders........like it has already been discussed in other threads, Toyota listens............just like they listened and done away with horrific rubber colored cladding soon after the 4th gen debut........not meaning to step on any toes.....the 4runner is a awsome machine....just different strokes for different folks re: cosmetics...:

Welcome to the board! I like most of the 2006 changes as well, especially the bluetooth/voice nav, memory seats, and largers rims. I also like the changes of the new Sport. They made a perfect truck even more perfect!

Has the Armada given you a lot of problems that you are trading it? I haven't really heard too many good things about them.

Thanks for the welcome......yes all the changes on the 06 4R you mentioned has me excited as well.......I do not own an Armada.....in my sig it states "Titan" which if you are not famliar with Nissans is the full size pick up.......The big Nissan has perfomed flawlessly.....however had the 04 4R looked like the 06 4R, I would have never purchased the Nissan. Plus, the family is soon going to be expanding and we will need more room than a truck affords.....cant wait to get into a 06 4R limited 4WD with NAV........thanks again for the welcome.

Woops, I don't know why I typed Armada when it said Titan. I was reading something about the Armada before I read your post so it must have still been on my mind. I guess they look alike in the front! :

The 2006 Limited's are going to be awsome! Make sure to post some pictures when you get it! Any idea what color you are getting?

I loved my 96 4R and it was black, and I have always loved black vehicles when they are clean at least.....so that being said it will either be black, I need to look at the dark shadow mica, or titanium........which ever it will have the grey leather. Yea you are right......the Armadas and Titans are very similar from the front...
