hey everyone my name is brooks and im from lake charles, la.
I have a 2000 limited sr5 2wd with 145,000 miles and i love it. Heres a little history of me, the truck, my past vehicles and any plans for the future.
Ive owned the truck for almost a year, i bought it last july for my girlfriend to drive when we found out we were going to be parents. Her original vehicle was a 4wd Isuzu Trooper but after she locked up the motor (twice) from oil sludge that had to go. At that time I drove a monte carlo ss that was a great car but not great for kids. Soo I traded my car into a local corner lot for the t4r and surpised her with it on her birthday. It was hard to say goodbye to the SS but I was ok with it because I had a 95 240sx that I had been in the process of building for track purposes. Well, reality set in and i soon realized that that also was not a very good family vehicle so i traded it for a 2002 subaru wrx. About a month into ownership the transmission gave out and i was forced to replace then sell due to extremely high repair bills. (all the while shes driving the 4runner and loving it-except the mpg) So life goes on and I buy a 00 z-71. Again, not the best choice, lol, it was fully loaded 4wd, 24" wheels, new paint and for only 8,000 it seemed like a steal. But after averaging 10.5 mpg i soon realized why it was so cheap. Needless to say I parted ways with the z71 and bought a civic sedan for her and I finally got the 4runner and so far life is good
