Help - 4Runner + Gobi + 3" lift under 6'8"?

Looking for some feedback on overall height of 4Runner with a Stealth Gobi and a 3" lift. Urban travel leaves me needing to access parking decks with clearance of around 6'8". Lift will be 884s and Toytec coils so I may end up with a little less than 3" overall.

Can somebody measure the rough height to top of rack?

Tire size etc will affect this measurement. I will say, you will most likely be really close to that number and I wouldn't and don't go in any garage with less than 7' clearance. I have taller tires than many but a much lower rack and I measure out about exactly 6'9" (iirc). You probably will need to stay with stock tire sizes to get in but hopefully someone with exactly the same setup as you can illuminate the situation so you can make the best decision for yourself.

I have a Gobi, 285/65R18 Nitto TG, and full 3" of lift and clear 6'8".

However, I also have an ARB with winch, full Shrockworks skids, Metal Tech sliders, and a bunch of other things inside the truck that probably weigh it down. Last time I tipped the scales, I was at about 6300lbs (with some cross country gear and a Yakima Skybox 18.
 
Thanks for the feedback guys. Sounds like I should be really close.

If i find that the lift leaves me a little too high, then I guess I'll have to add bumpers and skids to get the right height right!! :wink2: I'm sure my wife will buy that one?!!

Just keep the tires small... You inspired me to measure and I need 6'10" to barely squeeze in and I have all the armor. I do have taller tires and my rear lift is a lot higher than some. You will be extremely close. If the 6'8" is really the clearance, just have a backup plan or be willing to go back to smaller rear springs and bring the front down a smidgen. That is of course, after you try to solve the "problem" with added weight/armor!

Wow, that is some serious weight.

For the OP. A nice feature of the stock antenna is that it is a little higher than my Baja rack. If it just tips I know I'll clear with no issue. I have yet to not clear a garage. You could also zip tie a little extension (black painted coat hanger) if your rack was much higher. It is nice to have a guide vs having to get out and look....

I have, 285/70 3" lift, Baja half rack. .

I think it is just under 6' 8". I would go measure, but it is cold dark and raining (and my truck is outside)

Ok, measured it is a hair under 6' 8'. The tip of the antenna is 7' and my garage is 6' 9' at the lowest point with the door rolled up.
