HELP !!!! 4WD Issues

So after having a rough couple of years with this economy life is Finally starting to move forward. I have no money (NO JOB) and my sister was nice enough to give me her 2000 Toyota 4Runner Limited. Car drives good and no apparent issues until I turned it on yesterday and the light (4Tire Green and a round Orange light in the middle) in the dash indicating 4WD starts blinking.

For no reason, all I did was turn the car on and it started blinking. It has not stopped and now the car doesn't turn well. I have to take wide turns because it feels like the car locks up. Any ideas? thought of what it could be? trix to maybe fix it?

Sounds like you accidentally turned on your 4WD. Check the 4WD button on you shifter. Make sure your not in 4L.

I have a 98 and this is the position it should be in.
