Help I need to fix my 4X4! I was doing a test drive in the snow and my 4x4 won't engage in H4 or L4. I have toyota's automatic locking hubs.. does anybody have any ideas as to what i should do?

There's a whole bunch of threads on here about troubleshooting your four wheel drive, a little search should get good results. Use this link for starters, modify the search terms to narrow it down.

It's probably a stuck actuator on the axle or a bad vacuum switching valve under the hood. Does the 4wd light on the dash come on?

Alright I'll do some searchin thanks and well when i got it during the summer the light came on and it worked. But now the light stays off and nothing happens. Would it most likely be the actuator or vacuum?

I've never had ADD, but I think the 4wd light doesn't come on until the computer senses the transfer case in 4wd AND the front actuator engage.

When you put it in 4lo you got low range, right? Just not 4wd? Check the actuator on the axle first, make sure it's not seized and you've got vacuum there, etc.

I think you are correct. My runner had ADD but now that I am SAS, my 4x4 light does not come on. Obviously my transfer case is working correctly, but there is just a disconnected ADD plug and two plugged vacuum lines.
