Ok. I have a strange issue.
You know when you put on the brakes and hear the ABS sound? It’s like a groan or a fart cushion.
In the past day or so, I have heard this “groan” sound when backing out of a parking spot and turning the wheel. I thought it was the clogged screen on the power steering reservoir and when I cleaned it out, I convinced myself I could not hear the “groan” anymore. (That was yesterday) Today, I have heard this again! A few questions:
Anyone else have this issue?
If so, what did you do to correct it?
Could it be the brake booster? (Check valve?)
My rig has 268K on her (2000 T4R LTD 4WD). I keep her in tip-top shape and getting 18MPG in the city and up to 23MPG on long trips.
If you have some ideas as to what I should look into, please let me know. As always, your experience/input/suggestions are welcome!
