leaving for a ski trip in a few hours. drove home in a huge blizzard last night and on the way home the heater fan kicked on to hi and would not slow down regaurdless of setting. This morning went out to start the truck this morning and the blower will not turn on. seached the forums and sounds like either ice build up or resistor. any thoughts of which it would be and can it be a quick repair to take the truck skiing or should a find a different vehicle to go.

i had the same symptoms as you, i took the resistor and control module out, dried them out completely then sealed the cover and area around the fins with silicone. haven't had a problem since

So I have a temp control issues...what is the common knowledge on that deal
.
. Just moving a degree or two off of the lowest setting turns it to full heat

Got the blower to work yesterday by pulling fuses and warming the truck up. Took off for ski trip. Was 4 degrees this morning and bam same problem. Drove for an hour hoping the blower would start working again. Nope. Pulled over and pulled and reset the fuses again and the blower started working. Not sure what is going on but leaning towards a bad resistor.
