help broken sunroof gonna rain tomoro

clealry people are havin trouble with 4th gen sunroofs but i cant figure out how to close it manually sumbodys got to know i wish i had got a stippd down runner. Everyone keeps saying go to the dealer and i keep saying never have never will. we work on our own toyotas and 1000 bucks is rediculuos. i cant spell

i have mine at the shop getting my sunroof fixed right now. i was able to pull and hold the button at the same time to get mine closed. then i had to use the tilt to make it some what line up

looks like your only option is ducktaping it. it's an idiot advice but smart if it rains. you can either leave it open while raining so you don't listen to idiots from his thread.:crybaby:

I keep seeing this pop up. There is a toyota service buliten about this problem that I found on this forum.Its actually how I found the forum and now I come here first to search problems all the time. Just search for it and it comes up.I found the link, printed the T.S.B. and I fixed mine in about two hours and Im not a mechanic so its not so bad. It usually gets stuck because the factory applied grease to the track and over time water gets mixed into the grease and the grease turns in to hard chunks. You need to take the thing apart, clean off the crap grease and re grease it. It was raining when I fixed mine but i made it my garage before it got very wet inside. T
