Three days ago I installed Toytecs Ultimate lift and an arb bumper yesterday. I was checks the bolts today and I noticed my cv boots were leaking but no signs of tears. Any advice? Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same thing after installing a OME 881/890 lift. After some reasearch I found this to be a common occurance. Most folks either replace the boots, clamps, or try this fix: http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/foru.../81947-cv-boot-seeping-grease-simple-fix.html I was able to do the clamps on mine with some from West Marine and they are holding up great and no leaking!

no need to be too alarmed.
go get some stainless steel pipe clamps from lowes or west marine and carefully tighten after pushing boot up shaft a little. i discovered when i did that, i clamped my boots where they originally were and when the wheels drooped the boots stretched too far and split.

dang u beat me to it. just make sure iTS STAINLESS STEEL. you dont want any extra rust.

Excellent advice. The ones that the thread reference too are nice because the edges are "rolled" as opposed to sharp, so they shouldn't cut into the boot. Mine are holding nicely and haven't caused any issues. Hardest part is cutting the old ones off carefully as to not puncture or rip the boot. Best of luck man!
