HELP... debadge gone wrong

SO i decided that the gold badges had to go... but not all the adhesive went with them.

i have used a lot of GOO Gone two different times, and there is still some adhesive left.

What should I do?
buff and wax? more adhesive?

i would say heat like a blow dryer and a soft rag.

I would try mineral spirits and then naphtha.

i think a lot of the problem is that i am working on vertical surfaces...

goo gone is like water and just rolls away

dry the area well

get goo-gone in the spray bottle, and spray some on, sure it will run, but just keep giving it a coat when it soaks in, keep doing this for a few min, and take an old credit card (thats in decent shape) and use that to "scrape" off the goo..

go slow, it isnt a ten minute process, but it will work..

Go to an automotive paint and body store and get some plastic razor blades. They will remove adhesive chunks like this so that the goo gone can remove the residual film. Otherwise you'll be at it all day.

I recently re-decaled my mountain bike frame and used a blow dryer to soften and remove the decals. Afterward I used Goof Off which is a mixture of Xylene & Toluene to remove any remaining residue..nasty stuff but it worked great and didn't damage the paint.

I would try using 3M adhesive remover.. (at least thats what i have) and see how it goes...

On another vehicle...I've had some good luck with Turtle Wax bug and tar remover...
