Help identify FJ springs/paint colors

I've got a line on some FJ springs for my 2008 4x4 4Runner. Problem is, I can't find information to confirm that the springs I'm looking at are the correct ones that I want (4x4 FJ springs). I don't know the gentleman offering them, and though I don't distrust him, I don't trust my own understanding enough to be confident in pulling the trigger.

My biggest hesitancy is that I'm not finding consistent descriptions of the FJ spring paint codes (I've seen violet, yellow, green, gray...), and further, I'm not finding any that describe the colors I see on the springs that have been offered for sale. The pic sent by the fellow I've been talking with shows springs with the following paint code colors (see photo attached above) Front1 blue/yellow, front2 orange/blue, rears yellow.

I've noticed many of the threads are pre-2010... Wondering if FJ spring paint codes changed since then (I think the ones I'm scoping out are off a 2013).

Finally, I noticed in one sticky thread that it's unclear if it's saying the 2010+ FJ springs need modifying to fit 4th gen 4Runner, or if it's talking about the shocks by that point ( http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/78803-compiled-fj-springs-lift-info-4th-gen.html ). My collective understanding from various sources had been that any FJ springs will fit directly, and that 2010+ shocks require mod. Can anyone confirm?

the rears don't matter, they're interchangeable.
for the fronts, stand them upright, the slightly longer one is the driver side coil.

I wouldn't depend on the color coding as a human has to paint that on.. I'd go by the length of the coil to determine which one is the driver side.

My concern is more identifying that they are 4x4 FJ springs (or the correct ones, if there's any variation I don't know about). Considering that the paint color scheme doesn't match anything I'm finding from other folks talking about this mod, I'm concerned that I'm missing something.

In case it helps anyone else, it appears that these are not FJ springs, but possibly Tacoma springs, according to the seller, on second check. Hence the color codes not matching any of the FJ spring swap descriptions I've read.

Still looking for some 4WD FJ springs then...

2nd gen tacoma coils will work and they give a tad more lift then fj coils. looking at paint codes is not really going to help. from what i have seen online they change year to year or they might even be random

I have a set, i had upgraded my 2011 FJ all around only a few months after i bought it new. Any interest?
