Help identifying source of sound

I started noticing this sound last night and I can't figure out where it is coming from

The noise only occurs at higher speeds above 60mph going straight and I think it only occurs after I have been driving a while on the freeway. I originally thought that something was rubbing on the tire, I checked both front tires and there isn't anything hanging down that could be rubbing the tire. Sometimes it gets louder or follows the compression of the suspension when there is a dip on the freeway. It doesn't occur at lower speeds around town/city at less than 60mph, only at higher speeds on the freeway way, so it makes it near impossible to listen for it outside the car.

Any ideas?

What year car how many miles. Get under the car with a rubber mallet and knock on the exhaust, sway bars, u joints, carrier bearings, shock components etc

check the fasteners on the splash guards in the front wheel wells. They sometimes have some play, and will rattle around and make noise at higher speeds.

I wrapped some material around the fasteners to take up the slop before I switched to RAD rubber aftermarket splash guards

Sounds like the “itch” vibration sound of a body panel or closeout. Check all fasteners around entire area(drivers door/engine compartment/etc). Also, there are usually drain channels on each side of windshield for water runoff……maybe a stick or leaf is caught up in there, or just around area, and certain speeds hit will trigger it. Hope you figure it out

So this post inspired me to go outside in the dead of night and try to track this down again and I think I've found the source;

The rubber splash guards inside the wheel wells. The two top plastic fasteners were just rattling and squeeking like hell in there when I started shaking them. It looks like the plastic fasteners they use are the same in every hole but the two top holes are a little wider and cause them to rattle in there. I had a box full of various size fasteners I got off amazon a while back and found one that fits better and theres zero rattle or squeeking now. I also found that the guard was loose enough that it had rubbed the body down to bare metal behind it, gonna pull them off and paint behind there when I get more time. I'm guessing this is your problem as well
