Help Me Choose an LED Aux / Driving / Off-Road Light - KC vs. Westin

I'm close to finishing up my True North Fabrication bumper and it's got 4 spots for lights - two 4" holes and two 2.5" holes.

Here's an image of a completed bumper (not my truck). I'm looking for lights to fill the larger holes that he has what looks like amber fogs:

My use is going to be primarily on dark highways when there is no other traffic around, backroads in Vermont, and occasional night time offroad. For all of that I would prefer a wider spot pattern like 30 degree or blended spot/flood pattern.

I will most likely put smaller flood lights into the 2.5" holes though, so I'm cool with the larger lights being more dedicated spot duty.

The decision basically boils down to paying more money for name brand, lower spec product with KC LZR lights at ~$260/pair or cheaper alternatives that have higher specs at $130-$200/pair. Money is not a huge concern, but I'd consider the KC LZR being the max I would want to pay for these.

Here is the darkhorse - ADVMonster. They're pretty well known in the adventure bike community and I have one of their floodlights on my bike.

If they made them in a larger size I would order without hesitation, but in the smaller size they won't fill the 4" opening. They do spec very well, and I emailed the owner, apparently this light uses a new and very advanced LED model that is highly efficient vs. the KC LZR LED that is 8 years old.

So nobody responded, but that’s okay. I ended up going off the menu.

At first I thought Baja designs was too expensive and didn’t look much at them because I only saw the squadron pro at $400+ a pair.

After a ton of research though I had another look at the Baja Designs squadron sport, which is $220 for the pair at 2,200 lumens each.

They turned out to be the best contender for the price/features/value

What I like about them is they are 4” round, and they have a combo driver/flood beam. But their squadron series are the same base light, and you just change out the lens for what you need.

So I also bought an amber fog lens cover along with my driver/flood cover, both in amber. The lights use a rubber o-ring (i.e. they’re not permanently sealed like most) So I can experiment with the lenses and see which one I like more in that place.

Not to say one is better than the other, but it certainly gives some peace of mind.

PIAA 4" not LED but waterproof. I think their LED's are 3" but being waterproof is much more important.
