So my current setup on my 06 SR5 V6 4x4 is a Daystar 2.5 /1.5 only. I was lucky enough to get a free set of spring / shocks from a 2010 FJ. What I want to achieve is a 3" lift or as close as can over what the DS offers me now. I do not want to make mods to the 4runner to fit the FJ shocks and want to keep my parts under 500.00.
Here is what I am pondering.
1 Use the FJ springs and replace the FJ stock shocks with 5100s using the DS spacers "should be 3.5" but with a better shock " scared of Diff issues and alignment, thoughts?"
2 Use the FJ springs and buy the 5011 height adjustable shocks on the highest setting "2.75 with a toytec 1\4 in top plate spacer for a net of 3.25" "Think I will be safe with alignment issues and Diff?"
3 Scrap spacers all together with the adjustable 5100s, set them to 2.75 and forget about it.
option 2 is my favorite as it gets me the most lift without getting into diff drops and alignment issues most seem to have with approaching 3.5" range. SO what are those who have similar setups and are there options I am not thinking of. The goal here is 3" and I do off road.
