Help needed with install in non JBL 08' SR5

HI all, underway on replacing the stock non JBL stereo system in my 08' 4Runner SR5. I have swapped out front and rear door speakers with JL Audio TR650-CSi 2-Way 6.5" Car Speakers System and JL Audio TR650-CXi 2-Way 6.5" Car Speaker respectively. Took alitlle bit of modification with the after market speaker mounts to get the speakers to fit, but not to difficult, no amp for these yet.

I also have picked up a JVC KW-AV70BT Double DIN 7" Touch Panel Monitor Car Receiver/Radio DVD/CD/USB and a Sony XA-R800C - Rear View (backup) Camera w/ 1/4" Color CCD Sensor, and all the metra harness, steering wheel conrol harness etc.

Here is where I am confused, I want to tap into the reverse wire from the head units reverse gear signal wire, but I am also looking for a place to tap into a 12V accessory wire in the back of the drivers side cargo area with the cameras reverse sensing wire. I want to have the ability to switch back and forth for when I am towing etc. Here are a couple of pics to show the area I am working with.

Also can I just attach the cameras power supply ground to any bolts or screws in this area as well.

Wow, nobody has a remedy for me? Let me ask another question, would it be easier to run that orange reverse power wire for the cameras power unit up to the front and either tap into a 12v accesory wire, or could I add a conector and conect to an empty spot in the fuse box? I'm really not sure where to go with this. Hoping someone will reach out. Thanks again.

There are 2 wires coming from most stereos that you have to deal with in addition to all the normal speaker and power wires, one that enables the rear view camera and one that enables video viewing. I didn't want to try and tap into the car's wiring for reverse and brakes so I just used 2 switched that I mounted in vacant spots on the center console. You need to ground one and connect the other to +12 but I don't remember which is which. You can ground the camera to any metal chassis point and get power from any place that has +12 when the ign. is turned on. I used the cigarette lighter wires on the center console since I had a double cable with both video and power and ground to run to the camera. You could probably get power from the cigarette lighter socket in the rear though.
What's up with the Sony camera? It seems like overkill since most cameras are just self contained lipstick size cylinders that you can stick in a hole in the back somewhere.

Thanks Steve for the feedback. Actually that little SONY camera is quite nice, and only $85.00 on EBay. I mounted the camera in the factory location on the tailgate, on the left side and tucked up under the garnish, very stealthy as it does not stick out very much. I cut away the little cutout in the garnish and drilled a 1/2" hole in the tailgate, a little nervewracking, but came out real well. I ran the wires up thru the top left inside of the tailgate, and through the harness and into the interior. I have it grounded underneath the drivers side cargo tie down bolt in the floor. I have the Video cable routed under the drivers side door sills and waiting to start the HU install.

couldn't you just use the accessory power from the passenger side 12v port for your power if that is what you are looking for?

That would work, now if i can just isolate that wire from the bundle running across the cargo floor to the passenger side. Thanks man.
