So i got a P0430 code the other day: Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2). ive been wanting to get the doug thorley short tube headers for awhile (cant do long tube because of emissions), but i didnt really feel it necessary to buy them at the time. but now its either get a new manifold w/cat for about $360 or buy the headers for $360 and get 2 new magnaflow cats for $65 each, and then welding them all up and replace to stock manifolds and cats. i wouldn't mind buying a new stock manifold if the car was maybe 5 or 6 years old, but considering it to be almost 12 years old, im just worried the other cat might be heading out the door soon too. so its either spend about $500 for the headers and new cats, or spend about $360 for the stock manifold and then possibly run into the same dilemma down the road again. what do you guys think i should do?
