Engine Code p0456 and p0430

Question for the Forum.

Had a check engine light over the summer that I took into a local mechanic (P0456-small EVAP leak detected). Did not think too much of it and they replaced the Purge Solenoid which took away the light for about a month.

Light just came back on and went to see the engine code and it came back as another p0456 and this time a p0430 (CAT operating under efficiency, Bank 2).

Called the mechanic kinda upset that it came back on and this time with the Cat code as well, they said they'd take a look for free but wondering what it could be. My guess is that some of my tubes/clamps are old and rusted (bought the 4runner from my in-law who lived in NJ, surface rust on vehicle but i live in TX).

Wondering if anyone has had this experience and what y'all did to fix it. I'm really hoping I do not have to touch the Cat, car runs and operates smoothly.

90% sure those two codes are unrelated and you just have a tired cat in addition to the typical evap issues.

Could just be the exhaust donuts. I replaced all my emissions related items, and it ended up being a slight exhaust leak between the cat and rear O2 sensor.
If you decide to replace the manifolds, it is simple, and I have one OEM with life left and one new aftermarket that I never put on for sale in the for sale thread as the donuts fixed my issue and I never put the driver side replacement on. Hopefully you don't need the replacement, but I'll hook you up if you decide to try..
