Help on deciding

Almost identical to the one we bought this July except ours is silver. Ours has around 126k on it. The high mileage isn't so scary when you consider, it's a Toyota. I've heard plenty of people say on here that they expect these things to run at least 300k miles, and I wouldn't expect any less out of a Toyota. They're good trucks. If you're worried about the mileage, there are plenty of 40-60k miles 2004s out there, but you're going to be paying closer to 17-19k for one with such low mileage. Also, if you think about it, most of those miles are probably highway miles to have gotten so high in just 6 years...

So, of course, having recently bought pretty much the same 4runner, I say go for it. =)

it might be good idea to ask for the maintenance records but even without them the car looks good, I wouldn't worry too much about the mileage, but it is something i would use to knock the price down. good luck

IMO the price is high. I realize it's a year newer, but I got my 03 4x4 v8 Limited, loaded with every option availble (everything from heated leather, navigation, and rear air suspension) and 120k miles for $11,900 out the door. This was from a dealer, and also included maintenance records. When I was shopping, I found several in the 120-130k range with the 4.0 for $11-12k. They do bring more in other regions, so that may be a good deal where you're at, but around here (Arkansas) that'd be a little high. As for the 4runner itself, looks good, I'd just try to get that price down.

4runners are HIGH in AL, I had to pay my aunt $11K for my '03 with 119K (v6 4x2 limited in mint condition w/ all dealership maint records) not as loaded as yours ARK. We originally had it worked out at $10K (or less depending on how much her new 4runner was) until she talked to a dealer :redbrick: The dealership offered her $13K (trade-in) and told her she could sell it privately for $14K easy and that they could sell it for $15-16K.

I think you might get it a little cheaper but the demand for 4runners in this state is amazing and based on what I saw when I was looking, it's a deal if it's in good condition.
