I know I've already made a thread about this a while back, and I decided to make another with clearer intentions of what I need out of a tire, if that makes sense. I'm mostly looking for a all terrain, no mud tires.
Looks: the tires need to look good. Would also like to have white lettering on the sidewall (preference)
Perform: they need to perform. I need them to do what I need when I need them to do it. Weather it's getting power to the ground to get out of someone's way, or stopping safely because of another person.
Traction: I need good traction on wet, dry, gravel & mud (not much mud, very little)
Comfort: I would like to have a decently quiet tire. Not like the ones on some je*ps that have that extremely loud hum. Some noise is acceptable, but there is a limit to the loudness of them.
Tread pattern: I would like a nice, aggressive look to them.
MPG: I know that I have a 4Runner and it has a V8 so it isn't going to have a great MPG number (and doesn't in the first place) but I don't really want a 2 MPG hit.
I will be keeping the stock size, so hopefully no rubbing problems that require trimming.
So far on my list I have the following:
BFG All Terrain TA KO
Nitto Terra Grapplers
Cooper AT3
Yokohama Geolander HT-S
So please post your recommendation of tires and any local Atlanta people, if you can recommend a good shop with decent prices that knows what they're doing and don't do a sloppy job (scratching the rim) with a good balance and alignment machine, please speak up!
Thank you in advance!
