I am purchasing a 95 4-runner v6 at 2:30 today and I was wondering if theres ANYTHING that anyone could tell me about what to look for before buying. I really don't know much about this car except that I've always wanted one so if anyone could give me some tips that would be great! The situation is that I'm buying this car off of a guy who owns a pawn shop and he's givng me a really good deal and askin only 2,700 for it. He says that it's all in good shape but can you really trust someone selling a car? Oh and is carfax really worth the 35 bucks?

Carfax will more or less verify the history of the car as given by the seller, so if they say it had two owners in the same state, but it was registered five times across the country.... It will also confirm that it hasn't been in a serious crash or a flood, etc. I found it worth it just for peace of mind.
Look underneath very carefully for strange welding and severe scratches or dents in the metal parts.
