Hello fellow 4runner owners, I have a 2000 v6 4runner that has 190000ish on it. Only recently have the problems started to occur.
symptoms:
drive a long time on the freeway 50+miles, get off of freeway and the truck will go into (limp mode) as i have been told. It will not accelerate past 5mph no matter how much i push the pedal and it will shake jerk and die. Once it sits for several hours it will start right up and run just fine. There is a hesitation when accelerating quickly from a stop, it will hesitate sputter and then take off. otherwise it runs fine.
the check enjine light is currently on and has stayed on now for a bit, after doing some other repairs it would go away, but always come back on i am assuming after the proper drive cycles. This has been going on for 2 years now and i have been lucky enough that the light wanted to turn itself off for the smog guy as they have told me each year that i did have 1 code in the cpu but not currently active.

both oxygen sensors

i have to go and register this damn thing next month so mayday again this year yea. please feel free to ask me any questions you may have.
Any and all help is greatly appriciated, i love our 4runner and i want to see that thing get to at least a quarter a million miles!
