Help! Rear FJ spring won't seat!

Everything is as it should be but it will not clear the bottom. Thoughts?

I can't drive it like this hoping it will slide into place can I? Or at least slowly drive through the neighborhood hope it will pop in?

So, it may be hard to see, but the fj springs are just bit tighter than the 4runner springs.

Anyone else ever have this problem? I don' think these things are going in.

Are you sure they're not upside down?
I don't have my 4runner with me & I can't remember which way they sit.

Certain. Small side goes on the bottom. Here is a pick of the bottom comparo.

Have to see but the new spring bottom is just a little too tight.

What year are the FJ springs? If they are 2010 or newer there is some slight modification to getting them to fit . Search here or on google you should find something about it.

they are brand new 07's. same year as my 4runner. But I got them in. Took a well placed c clamp. tight fit for sure.

Hmm thats odd , i just put brand new fj springs from a 2013 fj and i didn't have any issues they fit right in fine! ill try to go out and check to see how mine are sitting,maybe i can get a quick pic.

I just took this real quick , couldn't really see with the tire on and outside and it's raining so I didn't get under it , hope this helps?

Man look at that rust. You need to get out of the salt belt my friend.

It does help. The difference is mine are moog aftermarket fj springs and your are OEM take off. I got one spring to seat with a C Clamp and the other is defying physics and should slip in over night or maybe tomorrow when I take it around the neighborhood for a test drive.

Oh ok gotcha i didn't realize they where aftermarket. Glad it worked out, hopefully that other one sits in their right!
