Help Removing Armrest

I lost one of the lenses from my glasses in the slot where the emergency break is, and I cannot even see the lense.

My question: Should I try removing the armrest or let a professional handle it?

My next question: If I take the armrest out myself, do I just unscrew the screws or is there another, indirect way of getting it out?

Thank you for your time,

I pulled my center console/arm rest the other day to do a amateur radio install. I knew I should have taken pictures as I was doing it but I didn't.

The console is real easy to pull in my 2000 Limited.

There are 2 10 mm bolts in the bottom of the console storage box, remove them. Then there are 2 phillips head screws toward the front of the console, (1 on each side, forward of the seats) pull those.

Then gently remove the trim plate around the gear lever, (assuming automatic tranny like me). Once the trim plate is free, lift the rear of the console up and work it free from the front retaining clips.

Hope this helps!
