Hi all. First I am sorry for beating a dead horse. I just bought a 2017 trd pro and I am going to install a stealth light bar behind the grill. I have read as many posts as I could find. I still have a few questions and would appreciate help.
How do you remove the panel to the lower left of the steering wheel that has the wiper heater rocker switch with a blank to the right. I plan on installing my new light bar rocker switch in that blank and would like access too the back of that panel. I will be using harness with relay.
My switch is as follows:
green-connect from source with in line fuse Where and What is best source ?
red---connect to relay IM ok with that.
Red2-connect to dash light circuit on when dash light on Is best spot wiper heater rocker to the left of blank if so which wire
Black-- ground Im ok with that

I want my bar to light up when ever I turn it on with the switch. running or not.
help and suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks very much.

I'm not sure if your interior is 100% the same as my 2016 TE but I'm pretty sure it's very similar. That being said, pull out the top "pod" that has the mirror, dimmer, etc. switches in it and you can reach behind and down where the other switches are.

Good luck getting that entire panel off as I was never able to no matter how many screws or clips I removed. You can take out some of the screws and clips near the top and pull it out a bit to get more room but I don't think you'll need to do that. I have large hands and I was able to fit my hand inside to run wires. I opted not to use spade connectors and passed the wires up and out of the hole made when you remove that top pod section so I could solder the ends directly to the ends of the rocker switch pigtail since I have one of the factory fit switches from RagoFabrication.
