Hey,
I was going out and had the car running while I cleared the snow from it. When I hoped back in, I mistakenly cranked the engine again (while it was running.) The engine died, so I tried to restart it.
When I did, pretty much everything lost power, and the starter did not move. I tried turning on the dome light, but it barely gave off any light. I popped the hood and found the starter relay switching so fast it was buzzing. I rapped on it lightly with a screwdriver and it stopped. I went back into the car and there was power, except for the starter. When I turn the key to "start," it behaves like I was leaving it in "ON" without the engine running. To be clear, when I turn the key, nothing happens. No sound from the relay, solenoid or starter motor.
I'm thinking that it is the relay. The starter is only a year old. I was going through some big puddles today, but nothing more than usual.
Anyone hear have any ideas?
Thanks in advanced
