Help to find a toyota grill and hatch emblem?

Hey folks,

As the title implies, I'm looking to find a couple of like new condition "T" emblems for my 98 4Runner? My hatch emblem is starting to bubble, and the front grill piece is starting to peal on the inner edge.

Does anybody have any idea where I could find some?? I've searched E-bay, but can't seem to find the right sizes..........

I've found this one....but it's $40.00 shipped!

dang i was at the dealership the other day and they had the emblem laying on the desk where all the newspaper was. i picked it up and it looked legit like it came off a grille..should of snagged it i knew i was gunna need it someday...

best bet a junkyard..find any toyota i guess and see if it matches up

I have everything ready to go for that mod, but haven't started yet. You can buy my emblem. I'll check tonight to see what condition it's in and post a pic.

I bought my grille emblem from the dealer for 20ish.

I'm sure you can call any junkyard and they'll sell it to you for $5-10

Most 4Runner's out here don't make it to the wreckers....they are rare....and those that are the age of mine....and stil on the road....are rotted all to $hit! Northern climate kills these rigs.........body wise anyway.....I'll give it a shot...but not hopefull. That's why I'd sooner buy one from you U.S folks....less road salt out there....well aside from the N.E.

If you have a pull-a-part yard..i'd take ur emblem you have now..walk around find any Toyota and match it up until you find one. pretty sure you bound to find one sooner or later

No green or pealing??? If not.....then USPS to Canada would probably be the cheapest....just mail it in an eveloppe with a little bubble wrap or taped to some cardboard on both sides???

it's possible, but not many pull - a - part yards around here....the ones we have....you can't pick and pull yourself....they don't allow you to walk on the premises.....just sit in the office and wait for the piece.......

Hey fightman, Im not sure how you searched on ebay, but there are a ton on there. There are two ways of searching. If you go to parts, and then narrow it down to our 3rd gen 4runners, and then down to emblems, youll only see like ten or so. Instead go to ebay motors, then parts and accessories, and select decals and emblems, and then just type in toyota. You will get several thousand hits. If its just the smaller toyota emblem that goes on the rear hatch that your looking for, I found several for like $5. Give it a try

Looks like I'm buying that used grill emblem from techno (aka Rob). I checked out the E-bay link you attached Taylor....but most of those were unavailable for shipping to Canada. and there weren't many that were specifically for the grill of my 98 and were affordable. I did however try your idea on E-bay.ca and found a few that can be shipped here, so I will probably buy one of them for the the rear hatch, as I don't really need the rear hatch piece to be the exact same size.

The I believe that the shipping costs are mainly an issue due to the Government's involved. Both our Countries are heavy on "Buy Canadian" or "Buy American", and seem to try to discourage cross border shopping by making consumers pay rediculous amounts of money to ship things. I can get stuff shipped from Taiwan or China for free....yet from the U.S...it costs nearly the same price as the item itself! Australia also has some crazy shipping costs.....however, when I bought my new Speed bag, I picked it up at the post office with no additional fees to be paid. The bag was around $30.00 and shipping was around $20.00!

You'd think Canada was a third world country.....when you see the costs involved in shipping things to us!

It turns out that my emblem was not in a better condition than fightman80's is, so that sale is not going ahead.

Rob, I can't find any decent used ones on the web, only new stuff that would be approx $35 shipped to my place (plus shipping from me to you). I've been searching using the OE part number 75311‑35140.
I'm wary of the <$10 adhesive backed ones on ebay since I discovered the variation in emblem sizes, especially between the 96-98 and 99-00 grilles. I couldn't find one with the right dimensions or description.
