Help! Truck is running like crap!

Thanks for the replies guys! Looks like the truck was built in April of 98....so I'm gonna order that set...and hopefully do the install within the next couple of weeks....
 
If you have the time to make it a day or so, go ahead and change the valve covers as well. It is easier to take the injectors out with the valve covers off. It allows for more room.
 
As much as I'd like to do that....the $200.00 it's going to cost me to do this work, is already going to break my wallet. Christmas bills still haven't been paid, and I still owe on the Mastercard :(

Hopefully going to do the valve covers in the spring/summer....depending on funds.

Glad you figured out it was an injector. Out of curiosity, why did you replace the coil on top of cyl. #5 since the misfire was on #1?
 
Boot on 5 was really bad!!! :) My buddy thought maybe it was so bad, that it was arcing to Cylinder 1....causing the Misfire Code.....

He ended up being wrong...but that boot needed to be replaced regardless. I just wish the GREEDY ba$-turds around here would sell the boots seperately!!

Oh well...now I have a spare coil should one of them crap out...and the boot is good on those ones.....
 
hey guys i think im also going to have to get a new injector, do i have to get all new injectors or if i just replace one will it be okay?
 
The shipping from that seller is f-ing insane. I'd think you could buy them from a parts store or even the dealership (maybe) for less.
