Recently bought a 97 Limited 4r and it did not come with the remotes for the doors/alarm.
It has the factory security system installed in it.
It is currently set to passively arm, so when I shut the door, 30 seconds later, it will arm itself, and if I unlock it with the key, then I have only 30 seconds to start the vehicle or it will sound the horn. This drives me nuts, and I'm working on getting a remote for it, but in the interim, if anyone can help me turn passive arming off/valet mode on, I would appreciate it.
I've looked all over the web for a solution, but all the pages on programming the RS3000 (which is what I think this vehicle would have) give instructions on how to do this WITH THE REMOTE, which I do not have.
Any help greatly appreciated!
