Help!!!!! Water

it was rainin and when it stopped i rolled down the windows, and now my floor is soaked!!!! ni put a fan on it and the top was all dry but when i push down on the floor, its still wet and its starting to smell, what can i do, and i think there is a brown stain on top, any way to fix this>???:awais: :awais: :awais: :awais: :bash:

I had a cooler leak in back while offroading before I got the weathertech floor liner. You can try to use a hair drier to speed up the process and dry out some of the moisture. Otherwise, leave all of your windows down as much as possible to get as much air flow into the truck as you can. The smell is mildew forming.

I have also heard people turning on a de-humidifier and leaving it in the truck overnight to suck out all of the moisture from inside.

I had a cooler leak in back while offroading before I got the weathertech floor liner. You can try to use a hair drier to speed up the process and dry out some of the moisture. Otherwise, leave all of your windows down as much as possible to get as much air flow into the truck as you can. The smell is mildew forming.

well its 3 41am and i just finished drying all the wetness of my carpet, now im gonna clean those stains later today, im sooooooooooooooo tired!!!

to bad it's not summer, i had a cooler spill out in mine one time to but it was like 90 outside so i just opened the windows

Lesson learned

I had my rear window down and the back of the truck floor got soaked. While the carpet will dry, the felt-like pad underneath will retain water. It is key to get the padding dried out.

I suggest you unscrew your door foot trim. This will allow you to lift up the edge of the carpet. The carpet is tucked under footwell trim. It should pull away. It may not come out from the center console side.

At the top of the footwell, facing forward, fold the carpet back.

Once you have enough carpet pulled up, get to the pad and massage the water out. Use a wet vac to get as much as you can.

If feasible, leave the carpet up and put something under the pad to allow air to circulate. This will help lessen the chance of mold growing.

A hairdryer and or heat gun for a while will speed up the drying process.

hate to "rain" on your work but the real issue is mold formation. no matter how dry mold will form and that will smell bad and potentially give spores which can cause hay fever on up. replace the carpet under the comp part of your insurance policy is my 2 cents worth.
